J6W, Philinsure and discovermarket forge partnership to provide personal accident protection for bus passengers in the Philippines

Philippines, 9 May 2024 – The international insurtech discovermarket and Philinsure, the leading insurance broker in the Philippines, today announced a partnership with J6W, the country’s technology provider for bus operations, aimed at offering personal accident protection to bus passengers at the point of booking.
The first phase of the partnership will see the launch of personal accident insurance products for one major bus operator in Philippines. These products provide coverage of up to PHP$30,000 per passenger per ticket, safeguarding passengers against incidents such as accidental death, permanent disablement, loss of belongings as well as unprovoked murder and assault. The insurance product is preselected when passengers check out via the direct channel of Bicol Isarog Transport System Inc., but passengers can choose to opt out.
